We never stop working...
Like with any job or sport, we're firm believers that practice makes perfect. So at every chance we try to continually hone our skills and get better at our craft. We do this by developing new website plugins that help us better understand the many scripts and languages that make up a website. It's also a good way for us to show off our creativity and skills.
Eventually the scripts and plugins that we develope will be offered to our customers to further enhance their sites. The best part, because we're developing these tools, they're only available to our customers. We don't do cookie cutter websites, so why would we use cookie cutter extras? Here are some of our projects that being developed as we speak.
Quote Calculator
There are alot of industries that rely on measurements to quote for job or product prices. We're developing a calculator that businesses can place online so potential customers can quickly get an idea of how much something may cost. Or the calculator could be used on a mobile device by the company in the field to give fast and accurate quotes to clients.
PHP Free contact form.
There are alot of inexpensive hosting options on the market, unfortunately alot of them that are inexpensive have less features. One of those is the lack of PHP which is a type of script. without this script you can't have contact forms built into your website. You're left just displaying your email address online. Which has alot of downsides, two that immediately come to mind is that "spam bots" can get your email and begin to spam you and second if you're end user isn't tech savvy or having email problems, they may not be able to contact you via email, which isn't a problem locally, but we like to look at the bigger picture.
Flash less slideshow galleries
In 2010, 60 percent of all internet traffic was on portable or mobile devices such as the iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Black Berries and Android phones or tablets. Many of these devices either don't support flash or have limited flash support. Which could mean, if your site relies heavily on flash elements, 3 out of 5 people may never get to see the information on your site. That's why we're developing good looking galleries / slideshows that don't contain flash. This way everyone that goes to your site gets to view all the information no matter what they're viewing it on.
Tech Support Page
This one will be solely for us to use with our clients and customers and will be used to diagnose web or internet problems. Basically the customer experiencing issues would go to our tech support page, the page will get information needed to diagnose the problem and display it on the screen for you to access. This way even people who are less than tech savvy can quickly get access to alot of system information right from their internet browser in just a couple clicks.
